Maid Visa Renewal under MM2H
After hiring a maid from abroad through a licensed maid agency, you can register her under your MM2H programme, with her maid visa eligible for annual renewal at the MM2H Office in Putrajaya.
Conditions for Maid Visa Renewal under MM2H
The maid must be physically present in Malaysia.
An annual FOMEMA health check is required. The principal (employer) must provide us with the FOMEMA login credentials to book an appointment with one of the approved clinics, ideally 2–3 months before the maid’s visa expires. The health check must result in a “suitable” status.
If the result is “unsuitable,” an appeal must be filed with FOMEMA within 14 days. The panel doctor will then recommend a detailed laboratory test for further evaluation. FOMEMA will review the results to decide whether the maid can continue working under your employment in Malaysia (additional charges apply for appeals).
Required Documents for Maid Visa Renewal under MM2H
- Authorisation Letter from the principal – Signed by the principal.
- Copy of the MM2H Approval Letter for the principal (employer/main applicant).
- Copy of the maid’s employment approval letter.
- Copy of the principal’s current passport, showing the particulars page and MM2H visa page.
- Original and copy of the maid’s current passport, including the particulars page, MM2H visa page, and latest entry stamp.
- Updated Employment Contract, stamped by LHDNM – We can prepare this for you and your maid, following the latest MM2H Office guidelines, with the cost included in your invoice.

All required documents must be submitted to us at least 2 days before our scheduled visit to the MM2H Centre.
The maid visa renewal process at the MM2H Centre typically takes 1 working day, with the passport available for collection at our office the following day. However, if there are any system issues at MM2H, the process may require an additional 1 to 2 days at Putrajaya before the passport can be returned the next working day.
